2023 (REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE): Filled the quarterback position after starting quarterback Conner Weigman suffered a season-ending injury in the fourth game of the season ... Led the Aggies completing 118-of-190 passes for 1,452 yards and nine touchdowns through the air ... Saw action in the season opening win over New Mexico going 6-of-9 for 41 yards passing and one score ... Was 7-of-11 for 62 yards and one touchdown in the win over ULM ... Started the second half in the win over Auburn passing 7-of-11 for 123 yards and two touchdowns, including a score to his little brother Jake Johnson marking the first brother-to-brother touchdown in A&M history ... Made his first start of the season in the win over Arkansas finishing 17-of-28 for 210 yards and two touchdowns, also rushed nine times for 57 yards ... Passed 14-of-25 for 239 yards against Alabama and 16-of-34 for 223 yards at Tennessee, recorded his first rushing score as an Aggie against the Vols ... 2022 (REDSHIRT): Started three of four games he appeared in, including two starts were top 15 ranked wins against No. 13 Miami and No. 10 Arkansas in back-to-back weeks before his season was cut short due to injury ... Completed 3-of-4 passes for 23 yards, while rushing for 11 yards in his Aggie debut against Sam Houston ... Made his first start of the season against Miami, connecting on 10-of-20 passes for 140 yards and one scoring pass ... Threw for 151 yards on 11-of-21 passing, connecting on one touchdown pass, and rushed for 48 yards in the win over Arkansas ... 2021 (SOPHOMORE at LSU): Started all 12 games ... Finished the season 225-of-373 for 2,815 yards and 27 touchdowns ... Connected on 26-of-46 passes for 330 yard and three scoring passes in the season opener at UCLA ... Threw for 372 yards on 26-of-35 passing, connecting on five touchdown passes against Central Michigan ... 2020 (FRESHMAN at LSU): Appeared in six games, starting twice … Connected on 88-of-150 passes for 1,069 yards, eight touchdowns and only one interception, adding 119 rushing yards and a pair of scores … Took over the starting quarterback duties for the Tigers in Week 9 against Florida and rallied LSU to back-to-back wins over the Gators and Ole Miss to close out the season … Was named SEC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in the win over No. 6 Florida in Gainesville in what was his first career start, completing 21-of-36 passes for 239 yards and three TDs while also adding another 52 rushing yards … Completed 27-of-51 passes for 435 yards and three TDs in the win over Ole Miss, adding 45 rushing yards and a pair of rushing touchdowns … Made his college debut against South Carolina, rushing twice for 19 yards.
