2015 (SOPHOMORE)
Reigned as one of the most disruptive defenders in college football in his second season ... earned first-team All-America honors from Walter Camp and the Football Writers ... Rotary Lombardi Award and Ted Hendricks Award finalist ... finished the regular season as the SEC leader in QB sacks (12.5 for -71 yards), tackles for loss (19.5 for -101 yards) and forced fumbles (5) ... was named SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week twice -- after filling the stat sheet with seven tackles, a sack for a loss of seven yards, two total tackles for loss of yardage (-8 yards), a forced fumble and a batted down pass against MSST and after contributing five tackles, including a sack and two tackles for loss, a blocked punt, a batted down pass and a QB hurry against ALA ... matched his career high with 3.5 QB sacks vs. NEV ... led the Aggies’ defensive line unit with 59 tackles, including 37 solo stops ... led the team in QB sacks, TFLs, forced fumbles and QB hurries ... also contributed an interception (return of 4 yards), two batted-down passes and a blocked punt.

Posted one of the most impressive first seasons by a Texas A&M freshman defender in school history ... led the team in QB sacks (11.5), tackles for loss (14.0) and QB hurries (9), and also was second among defensive linemen with 53 tackles ... posted at least two tackles in every game and had at least a sack in six games ... Garrett’s exploits made him a consensus second-team All-SEC pick, as well as consensus freshman All-American and All-SEC ... named the team’s Defensive MVP at the annual team banquet ... his 11 QB sacks broke the school and SEC freshman record ... Garrett matched the old Texas A&M QB sack record of 5.5 (held by All-Americans Damontre Moore and Sam Adams) by the third game of the season and took sole ownership in game 6 of 2014 ... in the ninth game of 2014 (fifth start), Garrett broke South Carolina’s Jadeveon Clowney’s SEC freshman record of 8.0 sacks ... Myles Garrett is the son of Audrey and Lawrence Garrett of Arlington, Texas ... born Dec. 29, 1995 ... Garrett is pursuing his undergraduate degree in university studies with his concentration area in Global Arts, Planning, Design and Construction in the College of Architecture. He also has minors in business administration and geology ... His older sister, Brea Garrett, was a NCAA Champion thrower for the A&M track and field team. His older brother, Sean Williams, has played for several NBA teams and currently plays basketball overseas.
