2011 (JUNIOR)
Was put on scholarship the week prior to the seasonopener
vs. SMU … contributed 27 tackles, including 17 solo stops while seeing
action in all 13 games with three starts … a good pass rusher, Russell
had three QB sacks for a loss of 23 yards and three QB pressures … had a
season-high six tackles against Arkansas and five against Texas Tech.
2010 (SOPHOMORE)
Contributed four tackles while serving as a top
backup at the "joker" position … saw action in eight games … had a careerhigh
two tackles against Stephen F. Austin … had a memorable sack of mobile
Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin in the Aggies' win.
2009 (FRESHMAN)
Appeared in one game, the Aggies' win over UAB
(9/26) ... had the honor of wearing the prestigious "12th Man" jersey in the
game ... did not record a tackle.
2008
Redshirted.
PERSONAL
Caleb Russell is the son of Andrea and Ronnie Russell of
Waxahachie, Texas … born July 21, 1989 ... sport management major … a
brother, Josh, was an offensive lineman for the Aggies and earned a varsity
letter in 2008.
