Sam Moeller Season 2012

•    Special teams ace is a member of virtually every special teams unit.
•    Enters 2015 with 26 consecutive 12th Man starts, which trails only Nick Lamantia’s record 30 starts from 2006-08.
•    Became the first 12th Man to block a punt when he did it against Mississippi State in 2013. 
 

2014 (Junior)

Served as the Aggies’ 12th Man in every game in 2014 and extended his starting streak to 26 games after the AutoZone Liberty Bowl ... only Nick Lamantia’s 30 starts at 12th Man ranks ahead of Moeller’s streak ... voted the team’s Special Teams MVP at the annual team banquet ... led the team with five tackles on special teams ... posted a total of eight tackles for the season, including a season-high three against SMU ... listed as a backup at nickel on the depth chart.
 

2013 (Sophomore)

Played in all 13 games for the Aggies, wearing the No. 12 jersey in each as the team’s 12th Man Representative … had eight tackles on the year, with season highs of two each against UTEP and MSU … became the first 12th Man Kickoff Team member to block a punt in a game when he did it against Mississippi State.
 

2012 (Freshman)

Saw action in four games ... Had nine tackles on the year and forced a fumble at Sam Houston State (Nov. 17) ... Recorded a career-high six stops , including five solo tackles, against the Bearkats.

Coached by Steve Kurtz at Antonian College Prep in San Antonio, Texas … earned all-district honors at cornerback and safety, as well as wide receiver … named Antonian’s team MVP and the Defensive MVP … named academic all-state … lettered in baseball and track, and was the Sub 5A Athlete of the Year in San Antonio … named to the all-area sprint team and ranked No. 2 in the state in the 100-meter dash.

Samuel Joseph Moeller is the son of Janet and Ray Moeller of San Antonio, Texas … born Dec. 1, 1992 in Nassau Bay, Texas … industrial distribution major … His uncle, Bubba Moeller, played baseball for Texas A&M.
