Deveonte Mackey enters his third season at Texas A&M in 2026 as an offensive analyst for the Aggies, working primarily with the offensive line.
Mackey joined the Aggies after spending the 2023 season at East Carolina as an offensive staff assistant. He previously spent three seasons at Grambling State, beginning as a graduate assistant before serving as the Tigers' special teams coordinator in 2022. During his time at Grambling State, Mackey assisted with the offensive line, scouting and game preparation in addition to his special teams responsibilities.
Prior to Grambling State, Mackey served as a graduate assistant at Shorter University, working with the offensive line and assisting with the program's run and pass game. He began his coaching career at Victory Christian Academy and Kathleen High School, where he worked with the offensive line and served as a run game coordinator.
Mackey played collegiately at Winston-Salem State from 2014-17, starting in 20 games along the offensive line. He helped the Rams to two CIAA championships and an NCAA Division II playoff appearance and was selected as a team captain and to the All-CIAA preseason team in 2018.
A native of Lakeland, Florida, Mackey earned his bachelor's degree in sport management from Winston-Salem State in 2018.
Mackey has one child, Aurora.
