Wisly Desire enters his third season at Texas A&M after joining coach Elko’s staff in 2024. Desire serves as an offensive analyst working primarily with the offensive line.
During the summer of 2026, Desire was one of 25 coaches selected for the Tampa Bay Bucs National Coaching Academy. The academy delivers an intensive curriculum and an opportunity to participate in the team’s 2026 rookie minicamp.
Desire joined the Texas A&M staff after spending the 2023 season at South Florida as a quality control analyst and assistant offensive line coach. Prior to USF, Desire served as the tight ends coach at Lehigh in 2022 after spending the 2021 season as the offensive line coach and run game coordinator at Tusculum.
Desire spent two seasons at Florida International from 2019-20, working with the defensive line in 2019 before moving to the offensive line in 2020. He previously spent five seasons at Monroe College from 2015-19, where he coached the offensive line and served as run game coordinator while also working as an academic adviser and placement coordinator.
His coaching career began at Lock Haven, where he served as a graduate assistant from 2013-14, working with the offensive line before transitioning to tight ends. Desire played offensive line at Jacksonville University from 2009-13 and was part of a 2010 Dolphins squad that ranked No. 1 nationally in FCS total offense, won a conference championship and finished No. 22 in the final national polls.
A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Desire earned his bachelor's degree in sport management from Jacksonville in 2013 before earning a master's degree in sport administration from Lock Haven in 2014.
