- At the 2017 SEC Championships, Moon placed 23rd in the 500 free and 17th in the 1,650 free
- Has NCAA B cuts of 4:47.49 in the 500 free and 16:20.46 in the 1,650 free
- At the U.S. Open Championships, Moon placed 17th in the 1,500 free and also saw action in the 400/800 free and the 200 fly … also swam on the Aggies’ fifth-place 800 free relay
2015-16 (Sophomore):
- Saw action at the NCAA Championships in the 500 free and the 1,650 free
- At SECs, Moon placed ninth in the 1,650 free and 24th in the 200 fly and just missed the C final of the 500 free
- Had season bests of 4:47.31c in the 500 free and 16:15.68 in the 1,650 free, which were both NCAA “B” cuts
- Team leader in the 1,000 and 1,650 free
- During the regular season, Moon posted a win in the 1,000 in the North Texas dual
- U.S. Olympic Trials qualifier in the 400 and 800 free.
2014-15 (Freshman)
- Recorded a first place finish in her first collegiate meet in the 1,000 free (10:24.84) against Arkansas, but would go on to set her personal best in the event at the Art Adamson Invitational (10:02.88)
- Enjoyed top five finishes in all seven races she took on in the long distance category, setting a personal best in the 1,650 free (16:34.96) at the Speedo Championships Series
- Finished in third-place in the 500 free (and 1,650 free at the University of Florida Last Chance meet
- wam on the 800 free relay team at the 2015 Phillips 66 US Nationals.
High School/Club:
- 21-time YMCA National All-America honoree (2011-2014) and Scholastic All-American
- Competed for DeKalb County Swim Team (DCST)/ Kishwaukee YMCA under head coach Brian Bickner for five years
- Set nine club records.

- Caitlynn Moon is the daughter of Mitchell and Karen Moon of DeKalb, IL
- Born on February 16, 1996 in Rockford, IL … has two younger siblings Collin and Cole
- Intends to major in Animal Science/Veterinary Medicine
- Father Mitchell swam at Eastern Illinois
- Has been swimming competitively since the age of 9 and says she chose A&M “for the swim program, vet school, and Newman Center. I also loved the team, coaches, and traditions at A&M.”
