Played in eight games during his first season in Aggieland, totaling nine minutes on the court ... made his collegiate debut against Southeastern Louisiana (11/16) ... notched his first career points with a basket in the closing minute of a win over No. 16 Baylor (12/19).
 
Before A&M
Played four seasons at South Oak Cliff High School in Dallas ... selected as Chevy Student Athlete of the Year as well as a participant in the Metroplex 24 High School All-Star Game ... averaged nine points and 10 points as a prep senior and enjoyed a career-best 22-point performance ... a standout in the classroom, Byers was honored as South Oak Cliff High’s class of 2015 valedictorian as well as a Gates Millennium Scholar ... played AAU ball with the Dallas Showtyme Elite.
