Wade Taylor IV became the program’s all-time scoring leader and first player to surpass the 2,000-point plateau with 2,058 points. He broke the old record of 1,990 points scored by Bernard King from 1999-2003. On the SEC career scoring list, Taylor stands No. 22 and his total was the most since Tennessee’s Chris Lofton scored 2,131 from 2004-08.

Additionally, Taylor took down career records for free throws (536), FT percentage (.851), 3-point attempts (905) and double-digit scoring games (105), and career records in conference play for 3-pointers (145), 3-point attempts (464), free throws (269) and FT percentage (.865). He set senior class school records for seven 3-pointers vs. South Carolina (game) and .866 free throw percentage (season)

- Additionally, Taylor became the first 200-point scorer in SEC Tournament history with 203 points in 11 games at the SEC’s postseason classic. He also set SEC Tournament standards for free throws (61), FT attempts (65), FT% (.938) and field goal attempts (156).
- He earned first-team All-SEC honors from the league head coaches, which made him the first Aggie in more than 40 years to earn first-team all-league honors three times.
- He was named to the inaugural Allstate NACDA Good Works Team (Winter), which recognizes student-athletes for their exceptional achievements in community service, athletics and academics.
- Taylor was named to the 2024-25 SEC Community Service Team basketball. He made the most of his opportunities and his platform to give back through the 4 Wade Taylor Foundation. He founded the nonprofit organization to empower youth through programs focused on mental health, leadership development, and financial literacy.
- Taylor played in a pair of college all-star games, winning the West team MVP honors at the NABC-Reese’s College All-Star Game at the Final Four and Portsmouth Invitational Tournament. He was also invited to the NBA G League Elite Camp.
- At the 2024-25 Legacy Awards, Taylor was the recipient of the Bill Erwin Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
2024-25 (Senior)
Team leader in minutes, points, assists, 3-pointers and free throws while seeing action in 30 of 34 games with 30 starts … Missed four games, the only ones of his career, due to an injury suffered late in the Aggies’ road win over No. 11 Purdue (12/14) … Earned first-team All-SEC honors after averaging 15.7 points (470 total), 4.3 assists (129) and 1.3 steals (39) per game … Connected on 71 3-pointers … Was successful on 129-of-149 free throw attempts for .866 success rate (No. 2 behind his school record of .878 from his sophomore season) … Reached double-digit points in 29-of-30 games with four 20-plus efforts … Posted his season high with 29 points against Texas in the SEC Tournament (3/13) … Logged the only double-double of his career with 15 points and 10 assists vs. Abilene Christian (12/28) … His 1.68 assist-turnover rate was a career high … Preseason honors included 1st-Team All-SEC (Media & Coaches); 2nd Team All-America (Jay Bilas/ESPN, Blue Ribbon); 3rd Team All-America (CBSSports.com, Jon Rothstein/CollegeHoopsToday.net, John Fanta/FoxSports.com); Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year watch list; NABC D1 POTY watch list.

Earned first-team All-SEC honors for the second straight year after leading the Aggies in scoring, 3-pointers, free throws, assists and steals … Also earned SEC All-Tournament honors for the second straight year after leading all scorers with 82 points (27.3 points/G) and posting a tournament-high 14 3-pointers (second-most in SEC history). He also hit 16-of-17 free throws and dished out 11 assists during the Aggies run to the semifinals. He was the first Aggie to earn All-Tournament in consecutive years since 2009 … Ranked fourth in the SEC with a 19.1 scoring average (687 points) and also ranked in the top five in the league in minutes (1,183), field goals made (214), 3-pointers made (school record 98), free throws made (161) and steals (66) … Had seven 30-point games, including a career-high 41 at Arkansas (1/16) … Was at his best against the best with a 22.2 scoring average in 10 games against teams in the AP Top 25, which was the fifth-highest among players with at least eight games against ranked foes. Taylor’s four 30-plus games vs. ranked teams were tied for the most in the nation (with Tennessee’s Dalton Knecht) … Was one of four Power 5 players to post at least 600 points, 100 assists and 50 assists (others were Alabama’s Mark Sears, Colorado’s KJ Simpson and Syracuse’s Judah Mintz) … With 687 points and 145 assists, he became the second player in school history to post consecutive 500/100 seasons … Averaged 26.0 in nine neutral site games, which ranked No. 3 nationally among players (behind Illinois’ Terrence Shannon Jr. and Purdue’s Zach Edey) with at least six neutral site games played.
