2011-12 (Junior)

Competed in three events at the Big 12 Championships, posting a season-best time in two of his three events. Finished the conference meet with a total of 20 points. In the 100 breaststroke, finished seventh with a time of 55.71. Finished the 100 backstroke in 15th. In the 200 breaststroke, Hermes finished 11th with a time of 2:05.40.

2010-2011 (Sophomore)
Hermes scored 22 points at Big 12 Championships this year with a pair of eighth place finishes in the 100 and 200 breaststroke ... posted personal best times with a 55.68 in the 100 breast and a 2:01.66 in the 200 breast ... received special recognition on the Academic All-Big 12 team for a perfect 4.0 GPA … saw action in the ConocoPhillips USA Swimming Championships at Stanford during the summer.

2009-2010 (Freshman)
Competed in three events in the Big 12 Championships...made "B" finals in the 100 and 200 breaststroke...posted season bests of 56.77 in the 100 breast and 2:05.40 in the 200 breast, both at the Big 12 meet.
