2014-2015 (Sophomore)
Improved upon a solid freshman year with personal bests in the 50 free (20.96) and 100 back (50.37) at the American Short Course Championships… also saw action in the 50 and 100 free varieties against Alabama and the dual meet against Tennessee and Missouri.
2013-2014 (Freshman)
Had an impressive freshman season with personal bests in several events. At the Art Adamson Invitational, Rocha swam the 200 back in 1:55.89 and the 200 IM in 1:59.01. At the Speedo Sectionals, Rocha swam best times in the 50 free in 21.13 and the 100 back in 51.25.
High School/Club:
A 2013 graduate of McAllen Memorial high school … holds four school records at McAllen… All-America honoree in the 50 freestyle … First Team All-State in the 50 free and Second Team All-State in the 100 free … District 31-5A and Rio Grande Valley Swim Coaches Association Swimmer of the Year … McAllen won the District and Regional title every year that Rocha competed … was coached by Roxanne Balducci.
Personal:
Juan Rocha Jr. is the son of Juan and Maria Rocha of McAllen, Texas… has been swimming competitively since the age of 14 … intends to major in mechanical engineering.
