2010-2011 (Junior)
Scored 46.5 points at the Big 12 Championships with a second place finish in the 200 medley relay, a third place finish in the 100 backstroke, an eighth place finish in the 100 butterfly, and an eighth place finish in the 200 backstroke. He posted "B" cut times in the 100 and 200 backstrokes at the Big 12 Championships, with times of 47.48 and 1:46.18, as well as the 200 medley relay. These times were also Ariens' season bests.
2009-2010 (Sophomore)
Scored 27 points at the Big 12 Championships with a 7th place finish in the 100 backstroke, an 8th place finish in the 200 backstroke and a 13th place finish in the 200 individual medley...Posted a NCAA "B" cut in both the 100 and 200 backstrokes at the Big 12 Championships, with a time of 48.76 in the 100 and 1:45.39 in the 200...both were season bests for Ariens.
2008-09 (Freshman/U. of Hawai'i)
Competed at the University of Hawai'i ... helped Hawai'i at a runner-up team finish to SMU at the Conference USA Championships in Houston ... posted three top six finishes at the meet - fourth place in the 100 back (50.12) and sixth-place finishes in the 200 back (1:50.20) and 200 IM (1:51.35).
