2015-2016 (Junior)
Posted NCAA “B” qualifying cuts in the 100-yard and 200-yard butterfly and the 100-yard freestyle… ranked second on the team in 100-yard and 200-yard butterfly and 100-yard freestyle… posted a season-best time of 47.24 in 100 fly … earned 100 freestyle victory in the SMU meet with a time of 44.29 … placed in the top 5 in 20 meets… competed in 400 free relay, 100 free, 100 fly and 200 fly at the SEC Championships ... swam relays for his native Turkey at the FINA World Championships in Kazan, Russia…
2014-2015 (Sophomore):
Swam in the B-Final 100 free in 51.52 at the Pan Pacific Games (was not able to swim in the A-Final because of his Turkish origin)… came in first-place in the 200 fly against SMU… set a personal best in the 200 free (1:37.15), recorded the fastest time of any Aggie this season in the 200 fly (1:45.03), and offered a personal best in the 100 fly (47.61) at the SEC Championships, all good enough for NCAA ‘B’ cuts… was on both the 200 free relay (1:18.86) and 400 free relay (2:55.55) team that set the 2014 team best in the events at the SEC Championships.
2013-2014 (Freshman)
At the SEC Championships, Ayar posted an NCAA ‘B’ time standard in the 100 free (43.88), finishing 5th in the C Final and scoring four points. Also posted a season best in the 100 fly (48.59). At the American Short Course Championships, Ayar posted season best times in the 50 free (20.23) and 200 free (1:38.09). Competed in the first-alternate 400 freestyle relay at the NCAA Championships.
High School/Club:
2013 graduate of FMV Private Isik Science High School in Istanbul, Turkey … finished first at the Turkish High School Championships ... has been swimming competitively for the Galatasaray Swimming Club team since 2003 … finished in 8th place in 400 medley relay at the FINA World Swimming Championships in 2012 … won bronze as a member of the 400 medley relay team from Turkey at the 17th Mediterranean Games.
