• Second-Team All-SEC (800 Free Relay)
• Named to winter SEC Academic Honor Roll
• Broke the school record in the 800-yard freestyle relay with Mark Theall, Clayton Bobo, and Shaine Casas at the SEC Championships (6:15.59)
• CSCAA Scholar All-America - First Team

2017-18 (Junior):

• Member of NCAA Championship 200 free relay team that posted a season-best time of 1.17.78 (finished 19th)
• 200 free relay team finished 4^th at SEC Championships with time of 1:18.30
• 400 free relay team finished 8^th at SECs with time of 2:54.73
• 8^th-place showing at SECs as member of 800 free relay team, which posted a season-best mark of 6:25.60
• Finished 13^th at SECs in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:35.97, a lifetime and team season best
   

2016-17 (Sophomore):

• Swam the anchor leg on the Aggies’ 800 free relay (9th) at the SEC Championships. Also saw action in the 50 free, 100 free and 200 free
• Posted an NCAA B cut of 1:37.76 in the 200 free and has season bests of 20.38 in the 50 free and 44.93 in the 100 free

 
2015-16 (Freshman):

• Was one of the Aggies’ top entries in the sprint freestyle races
• Ranked No. 2 on the team with a season-best 1:37.32 in the 200 free, which was a NCAA “B” qualifying cut, and No. 3 in the 50 free with a season best of 20.39
• On the Aggies’ top 200 free relay
• Saw action at the SEC Championships in the 50, 100 and 200 free and with the 200 free relay

• A 2014 graduate, Richardson was homeschooled
• Swam for the Eagle Swimming Association under head coach Mike Robinson for 10 years
• Recipient of the National Scholastic All-American Award for 2013 and 2014

 
Personal:

• Steven Richardson is the son of Michael and Kristine Richardson of Humble, Texas
• Has one sister, Sarah, 19
• Has been swimming competitively since the age of nine
• Majoring in integrated pest management entomology
• Chose Texas A&M because it “has the best Entomology department in the United States. The athletic facilities and the campus in general were way better than the majority of the colleges I visited. A&M was the only college I visited where student-athletes had a private dining hall that actually had good food. The coaching staff seemed like they knew what they were doing, the school seemed like they really care about student-athletes and I am glad to say both of those impressions I got on my recruiting trip here were right.”
