Alex Frusina Season 2025-26

2025-26 (SOPHOMORE)

• In his first season in Aggieland, Frusina ranked No. 99 in singles in the final ITA rankings and ranked second on the team with 21 singles wins
• Frusina tallied a 5-6 record against ITA-ranked players with his highest ranked wins coming against No. 31 Dominique Rolland of UC Santa Barbara and No. 31 Pablo Perez Ramos of Florida
• Compiled a 12-14 dual match record with 12 or more results at No. 2. (5-8) and No. 3 (6-6)
• Was 7-6 in SEC regular season dual matches
• During the fall, Frusina advanced to the NCAA Singles Championship by defeating teammate Tiago Pires in the ITA Central Sectionals quarterfinals playoffs, 1-6, 6-3, 6-1.
• At the NCAA Championship in Orlando, Fla., Frusina fell to TCU’s Cosme Rolland De Ravel, 5-7, 7-5, 7-6(8)
• Frusina tied for the team lead with 19-14 doubles victories, including tying for the team lead in dual match victories with a 14-9 record
• Compiled a 15-10 ledger with Kholo Montsi, which included a 12-7 dual match record.
• Frusina/Montsi were 3-0 at No. 1 doubles and 9-7 at the second line

2024-25 (FRESHMAN AT AUBURN)

• Named to the SEC All-Freshman Team and Second Team All-SEC
• Posted 20-12 overall singles record and 15-9 dual match record primarily at No. 2 singles position
• Earned four ranked singles victories including over No. 13 Sebastian Gorzny of Texas
• Posted 18-13 overall doubles record and 15-11 dual match record primarily at No. 2 doubles
• Reached a career-high singles ranking of No. 60 and finished season ranked No. 69
• Finished season with doubles ranking of No. 69 with Will Nolan
• Named SEC Freshman of the Week on Feb. 5 and March 12.

JUNIORS

• Second ranked recruit in class of 2024 according to Tennis Recruiting Network and highest in the state of Texas
• Achieved ITF Junior ranking of 17th
• 2023 Kalamazoo doubles champion
• Competed in the U.S. Open Men's Doubles Main Draw
• Reached singles quarterfinals at the Juniior U.S. Open in 2023
• Competed in all junior grand slam events
• Winner of three ITF singles titles and four ITF doubles titles
