Competed at the SEC Championships in the 500 free (4:29.04), the 200 free (1:38.91), and the 200 breast (2:06.98). In his final dual meet, Michaels had a victory in the 500 free against SMU (4:32.01) leading to a sweep in the event and dual meet victory for the Aggies.
