2012-2013 (Senior)
Posted 74.5 individual points at the SEC Championships, tying for second place in the 100 free, taking third in the 50 free, third in the 200 free relay, and third in the 400 free relay, placing fourth in the 800 free relay, eighth in the 400 medley relay, and placing 9th in the 200 free. Dalton broke the school record in the 100 free with a time of 42.74 at the SEC Championships. Dalton currently holds the 50 free school record and ranks second in school history in the 200 free after a 1:35.24 swim at the SEC Championships. Dalton was named Second Team All-SEC after his performance at the conference championships. Dalton was a member of the 800 free relay team at the NCAA Championships that took eighth place.
2011-2012 (Junior)
Posted a team-high 74.5 points at the Big 12 Championships, taking home first place in the 400 medley relay, second place in the 50 free, second place in the 400 free relay, third place in the 800 free relay, third place in the 100 free, and fourth place in the 200 free. At the NCAA Championships, Dalton scored a team-high 23.5 points to earn All-American honors. Dalton helped the team to a 14th place finish in the 200 free relay, a ninth place finish in the 400 medley relay, an 11th place finish in the 800 free relay, an eighth place finish in the 400 free relay, and finished 11th himself in the 100 free. Dalton posted NCAA "B" cut times in the 50 free, the 100 free, and 200 free. He posted all his best times at the Big 12 Championship meet with a 19.72 time in the 50 free, a 43.01 in the 100 free as the leadoff for the 4x100 relay and a 1:37.54 in the 200 free.
2010-2011 (Sophomore)
Dalton scored 63.5 points at the Big 12 Championships this year, with a second place finish in the 800 free relay, fourth place in the 50 free, fifth place in the 200 free, third in the 100 free, and a first place finish in the 400 free relay, posting personal best times in the 50 free as a relay leadoff (19.71) and the 800 free relay (6:24.74). At the NCAA Championship meet he posted 'B' cut times in the 100 free, 200 free, 200 free relay, and the 200 medley relay. Additionally, he was part of the school-record breaking 400 free relay (2:52.49) at the NCAA Championships. Throughout the season, he posted NCAA 'B' cut times in the 50 free, 400 free relay, 800 free relay, and 400 medley relay.
2009-2010 (Freshman)
Dalton helped set a new school record (2:52.89) in the 400 freestyle relay at the NCAA Championships...also swam the second leg in the school record-breaking 800 freestyle relay (6:25.94) at the Big 12 Championships...scored 33 points in the Big 12 Championships with three 8th place finishes, in the 100 freestyle, the 200 freestyle and the 500 freestyle...also competed in three second place relays, the 200 free, 400 free and 800 free, at the Big 12 meet...posted a NCAA "B" cut in the 200 freestyle at the Big 12 Championships with a time of 1:38.62.

John Franklin Dalton is the son of Tracey Edwards of Arvada, Colo., and Paul Dalton of Golden, Colo. ... born Jan. 23, 1991 in Denver, Colo. ... sport management major ... his older sister, Emily Dalton, played on the Colorado School of Mines women's basketball team. Emily was a four-year starter for the Orediggers and was the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference's preseason Player of the Year.
