Recorded one of two first-place finishes on the year against Indian River State College in the 500 free (4:42.17) while also placing second in the 1,000 free (9:51.35)… came in first place in the 400 IM against LSU… recorded personal bests in the 1,650 free (15:41.16) and 400 IM (3:57.27) at the SEC Championships.

2014 graduate of Gimnazija Bezigrad in Ljubjana, Slovenia … competed for Olimpija Swim Team/ Plavalni Klub Olimpija under coaches Ales Poljak & Jure Bucar … represented Team Slovenia at international competitions, and multiple-time international medalist … reigning junior national champion, age-group national record holder, and age-group national champion in several events

Miha Bernat is the son of Irena and Janez Bernat … born on March 8, 1995 in Ljubljana, Slovenia … intends to major in Petroleum Engineering … says he chose A&M because “I was impressed by the team spirit of Aggies Swimming Team. Guys are great, coaches are really dedicated, the campus and facilities are really nice looking. It is one of the best engineering schools in the country with lots of support for the student athletes. I believe I will be able to reach my full potential there, both athletically and academically.
