Began playing softball at the age of four …Hit a home run in the state final game … Most memorable moment in athletics was winning the first state championship for her high school, after her friend passed away … Chose to stick with softball because “I love the rush it gives me. I love the support and hype that comes from my teammates and creates a great atmosphere to be around.”… Describes herself as a softball player that is a “Power player but can also use my speed when needed. All of my family members have played sports, so I feel it gives us a bond that not all families get to experience. We talk strategy and get to make one another better. Sports have impacted my life and given me so much knowledge that I can use off the field.” … Only official recruiting visit was Texas A&M … Chose to attend Texas A&M because: “When I first stepped foot on this campus, it had an amazing atmosphere. The way our fans cheer on our football team and stand the whole football game is so cool. The traditions here are like no other and I am so blessed to be a part of them now. Coach Ford gave me perspective on what it means to use your voice and to be who you are. I am so blessed to be able to play for her and have such an amazing role model on and off the field. The coaching staff, as a whole, pushes us to our best abilities and then even more because they know what we are capable of even when we don’t … Reason behind her number is that her best friend Emily Galiano was number 6 in high school and so she wears 6 in remembrance of Emily … “It gives me a reason to play my best every game and to play it like it is my last.”… Hobbies include worshiping at church with family and friends, cooking and baking … Career ambition is to play softball for as long as I can and then after I retire, work for a sports brand to travel the country and sell their equipment.
