PERSONAL
Began playing softball when she was four years old…Hit a two-run home run in Top Gun Kansas 2017…Most memorable moment in athletics is playing in the Canada Cup in the summer of 2019….Played multiple sports growing up (basketball, soccer, track, long-distance running, volleyball), but chose softball “because my mom played growing up, and it was a great way for us to bond together, which made me grow to love the sport even more.”…Only official recruiting visit was Texas A&M, but was also recruited by Lamar, Memphis, Georgia, Oklahoma, and UT-Arlington…Chose to attend Texas A&M because: “Originally, I never wanted to attend college in Texas, but as soon as I stepped on the campus at A&M, I honestly just fell in love. It felt like home, and people always say ‘when you know, you know’ and I never really understood that myself until I experience it myself.”…Favorite number is 23 because “My dad was a crazy basketball player growing up, so I grew up watching old clips of legends Michael Jordan and still current legends like LeBron James, so I fantasized about being the ‘GOAT’ of softball as they are of basketball.”…Describes herself as a softball player: “I would say my greatest strength is my defense, as it has always been my favorite part of the game. Don’t get me wrong, hitting home runs and scoring for your team is amazing, but nothing feels greater than taking that feeling away from an opponent with your glove. I like to believe that I am fearless on the field and I try my hardest to do that, but I do it in a way that plays the game with respect. If you respect the game, it will respect you back, in ways you might not even be able to think of until it happens.”…Hobbies include running, painting, singings, and is an avid Tik-Toker…Was a member of NHS in 2018-2020 in school…Helped out young girls in the Glory organization with their defense…Involved in ‘Feed My Starving Children’, a local community service event making meals, and cleaned gardens at local family homes…Career ambition is to become a spokesperson in the sports world.
