Coached by David Pink at Atascocita High School.
2025 Class 6A state champion in 100 yard backstroke (47.11) and placed third in the 200 free (1:36.50).
Also led Atascocita to a bronze medal finishes in the 200 medley and 400 free relays
At the 2024 state meet, Simmons placed fifth in the 100 fly and sixth in the 200 free and led the 200 free relay to a fourth-place finish.
At the 2023 state meet, Simmons won the 200 free consolation final and placed 13th in the 100 back.
Set school record in 50 free (20.39), 100 free (43.85), 200 free (1:35:85), 500 free (4:35:58), 100 backstroke (46.71), 100 fly (47.74), and 200 IM (1:47:95).
Led Atascocita to district and regional team titles as a junior and senior and earned Swimmer of the Meet honors both years.

Parents: Kelly Simmons and John Simmons
His mother was a collegiate swimmer at Illinois-Chicago and his grandpa, Erich Strede, was a collegiate soccer player at Michigan State University.
Was the salutatorian at Atascocita High School along with being an AP Scholar and was on all A honor roll and was a member of National Honors Society.
Chose A&M because of the “supportive coaching staff, proximity to his family, and the top notch facilities.”
