- Became Texas A&M’s first NCAA Champion in the platform dive with a season-best score of 465.30
- Entered the NCAA Championship final ranked seventh after advancing through prelims with a score of 386.20
- Tallied scores of 73.60, 59.40, 79.20, 75.60, 85.00 and 92.50 to secure the 14.15 point victory over runner-up Tyler Wills of Purdue
- Moved to No. 3 on the school’s all-time platform dive top 10 list with his score at nationals
- Named SEC Freshman Diver of the Year
- Advanced to NCAAs on the 3-meter with a combined score 735.25 and on the platform with a combined score of 772.20 at the Zone D Championships
- At the SEC Championships, Trevino scored on all three boards: fourth in the platform (399.05), 14th in the 1m (310.65) and 15th in the 3m (330.55)
- During the regular season, Trevino posted six victories with springboard sweeps against TCU and Alabama, a platform victory against Kentucky and a win on the 1m vs. Texas
- Received the Trey Heye Newcomer Award and the Performance of the Year Award by vote of his teammates
