2011 (FALL RESULTS): Went 3-9 in singles while working herself back onto the court after undergoing offseason knee surgery...Was 3-3 in doubles, including 2-1 with newcomer Sun Wen.
2010-11 (SOPHOMORE): Went 6-13 overall in singles matches, including 5-11 in dual matches playing the Nos. 4-6 lines...Played the majority of matches at No. 5 singles, where she went 5-7...In doubles, saw action at all three flights...Paired with Nazari Urbina for the first time in the final two matches of the spring season and helped lead A&M to the doubles point against No. 7 Baylor with an 8-3 victory against Diana Nakic and Sona Novakova in the semifinals of the Big 12 Championship, as well as the doubles point against No. 32 SMU in the first round of the NCAA Championship with an 8-1 win against Shahzoda Hatamova and Ashley Turpin at the No. 3 line...Fall Results: Saw limited action due to a recurring injury...Was able to compete only in the season-opening Midland Racquet Club Collegiate Invitational in Midland, Texas...Went 1-2 in singles and 2-1 in doubles...Reached the doubles semifinals in Midland with partner Christi Liles...Was coming off a successful offseason in which she captured the singles championship at the Women's ITA Summer Circuit at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center on the A&M campus...Lived up to her No. 1-seed billing in the 57-player field, winning every match in straight sets en route to the championship match, where she defeated No. 2 seed and University of Tennessee signee Millie Nichols, 6-2, 6-3 for the title.
2009-10 (REDSHIRTED): Was unable to compete in the spring due to an injury...Went 2-4 in singles and 3-2 in doubles during an injury-plagued fall season...Advanced to the doubles round of 16 with partner Ashley Turpin at the ITA Texas Regional and reached the quarterfinals of the HEB Baylor Invitational with Elzé Potgieter.
2008-09 (FRESHMAN): Joined the team in January 2009...Saw action at the Nos. 3-5 lines in singles and settled in at the No. 4 spot, where she went 4-5...Was 6-1 in Big 12 matches overall...Longest winning streak was four matches...Played No. 1 doubles and went 7-16...Played the majority of matches with Christi Liles and went 4-10 with eight of the losses coming against ranked opponents...In her first match to be paired with Stephanie Davidson, the pair posted an 8-6 win against 45th-ranked Sasha Kulikova and Sierra Poske of Wake Forest...Cuthbertson and Davidson went 3-5 overall...Played one match with Elzé Potgieter.
PREVIOUS ATHLETIC BACKGROUND: Came to A&M with a wealth of international experience, having registered a 210 combined singles and doubles ranking in the International Tennis Federation junior rankings...Was a three-time Perth ITF doubles champion...Was the Darwin ITF Group 3 singles and doubles champion...The 2006 Wellington ITF doubles champion...A NT ITF Group 3 semifinalist, also advanced to the semifinals at the ITF Air South Pacific Open...Was ranked as high as 153 in the Under 18 ITF world rankings.
PERSONAL: Janelle Ann Cuthbertson is the daughter of Alan and Anya Cuthbertson...Has an older brother, Marc...Hobbies: "very passionate about my music, surfing, love watching sports, love to cook but not clean"...Began playing tennis when she was seven...Most memorable moment of pre-college career was playing in Australian Open Juniors...In addition to A&M, made official visits to Colorado, Indiana, Auburn and Oklahoma...Chose to sign with the Aggies because of the small town atmosphere, the comfort she felt around the coaches and team, as well as the A&M campus and facilities...Most memorable moment of A&M career is: "Although we lost the match, it was when we lost 4-3 to No. 14 Clemson (at the 2010 ITA Kick-Off Weekend). It clearly sticks in my mind as I feel like we came together as a team that day and we all experienced a huge amount of pain, and as looking back, it almost was like a make-or-break day for us."...Is a volunteer for Aggies CAN annual food drive...Majoring in sports management with a minor in recreation, park and tourism management...Was a Champs/Texas A&M scholar athlete and the winner of the Heart of the Learning Center Award in 2010, presented by the staff at A&M's Nye Academic Center recognizing a male and female student-athlete who has made great strides academically while also overcoming adversity...Career ambition: "I would love to continue to play tennis after college, but that all depends if I can stay healthy. Career-wise I am not 100% sure as yet."...Born September 3, 1990, in Perth, Australia.

Favorite piece of advice: Only ever focus on the present, worry about today, not tomorrow not the next day or the next week because you can't control the future, what's important is now.

The person who has had the greatest impact on my athletic career: My parents and one of my coaches back home, purely because they always supported me and never pushed me.
