2021: Indoor - Opened his season with a long jump mark of 23-7.5/7.20m at the Ted Nelson Invitational...Placed second at the Aggie Invitational long jump with a leap of 23-2.5/7.07m. Outdoor - Recorded a long jump mark of 24-2.5/7.38m at the Texas Relays...Battled injuries ending the season with a medical redshirt

2020: Indoor - Placed top 3 in five of the eight meets entered in long jump...Won the Ted Nelson Invitational with a season best leap of 7.58m/24-10.5...Placed second at the Aggie Invitational with a mark of 7.48m/24-6.5...Jumped 7.28m/23-10.75 finishing ninth in a talented field at the Tiger Paw Invitational. Outdoor - Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

2019: Competed at University of Houston, coached by Carl Lewis … Had a wind-aided best of 25-8 in placing second at Houston Alumni Invitational, series from the meet included career best of 25-5 ¼ … Also finished second at Tom Tellez Invitational with a windy mark of 25-4 ½ … Had three fouls during the American Conference meet … Indoors, won the Leonard Hilton Memorial Invitational with a leap of 24-11, and placed third at Houston Invitational (23-11).
 
High School: 2017 graduate of Dayton High School in Dayton, Texas … Coached by Quinn Wood … Competed in long jump, best mark was 24-1 to win 2016 District 21-5A title … Also won area title, then had three fouls in Region III-5A meet … Placed third in 2015 district meet.
 
Personal: Lagarious McQuiter is the son of Gary McQuirter and Jessica Dickerson, born November 9, 1998 in Fairfield, Texas … Hometown is Dayton, Texas … Has four siblings, Malik, Jasmine, Kristina and Arimoney … Chose Texas A&M since it’s a great school with a culture based around winning … Started competing in track and field at age 15 … Community service included volunteering at Houston food bank.

I chose Track & Field over other sports because: It’s the most challenging to me physically and mentally & I love challenges.
