Former Texas A&M swimming standout Anna Heller is in her first year as a volunteer coach with the women’s swimming and diving program and as an age group coach for the Aggie Swim Club.
Heller, a native of Portland, Ore., lettered for the Aggies in 2011 and 2012 after transferring to Texas A&M from Oregon State. As a senior, she helped the Aggies to the 2012 Big 12 Conference team title and competed at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials. She remains on Texas A&M’s all-time top 10 list in the 100-yard backstroke. During her time at Oregon State, she set the school record in the 100 back and competed at the 2010 NCAA Championships.
Since graduation from Texas A&M, Heller has coached with the Hillsboro Heat Swim Team in Oregon and helped lead her swimmers to numerous regional and state titles in the Pacific Northwest. She also served as an intern in the sports performance program at the University of Portland.
