2013-2014 (Junior)
Posted 14 points at the SEC Championships, competing in the 200 free (1:47.39), 500 free (4:49.19), and 1650 free (16:41.28). Quirke swam the 200 free in NCAA ‘B’ cut fashion and her mile swim was the third fastest on the team this season. Quirke had best times in the 200 free and 500 free at SECs.
2012-2013 (Sophomore)
Quirke had a great season posting season best times and NCAA ‘B’ cut times in the 100 free (49.94) and 200 free (1:47.49). Quirke also had a season best in the 500 free of 4:52.22. Ranked in the top seven on the team for the 100 free, 200 free, and 500 free.
2011-2012 (Freshman)
Had an impressive freshman season posting an NCAA “B” cut time in the 100 free (50.05) ... ranked in the top three on the team in 200 free (1:48.46) and had season best in 100 fly of 55.97.
High school/Club:
A 2010 graduate of Wellington East Girls College in Wellington, New Zealand...Notched personal bests in the 100-meter freestyle (57.52), 100-meter butterfly (1:00.91) and the 200-meter freestyle (2:04.11) while at Wellington...Also swam for the Capital Swim Club coached by Gary Hurring.

Ellen Quirke is the daughter of Pete and Tracey Quirke of Hataitai, Wellington, New Zealand ... Born Dec. 7, 1992, Ellen intends to major in Kinesiology ... Has one brother, Ryan (16)...Started competitive swimming at age 10 ... Chose A&M because “The people on the swim team were all really friendly and the school has a great reputation both academically and athletically.”
