High School/Club
A 2010 graduate of Lyndon B. Johnson high school in Austin, Texas, Slesnick was four-year letter winner and was coached by Lee Willing...finished in the Top-8 in two events in each of her four years of high school, and finished third in the 200-yard individual medley and second in the 500-yard freestyle her senior year...holds the school records in the 500 free (4:58.09) and 500-yard butterfly (5:53.40)...also swam for the Texas Gold Swimming club team and was coached by Aubrey Knapper.
Personal:
Lara Slesnick is the daughter of Dan and Kathy Slesnick of Austin, Texas...has a pair of brothers who swim at the collegiate level, Tyson (22) swims for Boston University and Nolan (20) swims for Binghampton University...chose A&M because "On my visit, I loved the atmosphere of both the team and the school. The coaches are serious, yet extremely fun. Everything here is just wonderful!"
