2013-2014 (Junior)
In a huge season, Ibanez had career best times in four events and helped set two new school records. At the SEC Championships, Ibanez took sixth in the 50 free (22.07), fifth in the 200 free (1:44.96), and fifth in the 100 free (48.18) for 74 individual points while adding to the fourth place 400 free relay, third place 200 free relay, silver-medal 800 free relay, gold-medal 400 medley relay. Ibanez helped the 800 free relay to a school record time of 6:58.80 at SECs and swam anchor on the 200 free relay at the Art Adamson Invitational to lower the record to 1:28.02. At the NCAA Championships, Ibanez matched her best in the 50 free in prelims and placed 13th in the finals (22.34), bested her 100 free (48.12) in prelims and finished 13th in finals (48.21), finished sixth in the 200 free (1:43.90), and tallied 20.5 individual points. Ibanez also impacted four relays, helping the Aggies to second place in the 400 medley relay with a new school record (3:28.13), fourth in the 200 medley relay with a new school record (1:35.59), ninth place in the 400 free relay, and seventh in the 800 free relay. This season, Ibanez improved her standing in the A&M record book to third fastest in program history in the 50 free (22.07) and 100 free (48.12), second fastest in the 200 free (1:43.75), and sixth fastest in the 100 fly (53.02).
2012-2013 (Sophomore)
Posted 18.5 individual points at the NCAA Championship with a sixth place finish in the 200 free and an 11th place finish in the 100 free. Ibanez also swam on the 200 free relay, the 400 medley relay, the 800 free relay, and the 400 free relay which were all NCAA ‘A’ time standards. At the SEC Championships, Ibanez scored 68 individual points in three events placing sixth in both the 50 and 200 free and placing ninth in the 100 free. Ibanez also participated on the SEC Champion 400 medley relay team, and the fourth place 400 free relay, 800 free relay, and 200 free relay. Ibanez posted the third fastest times in school history in three events; the 50 free in 22.21, the 100 free in 48.38, and the 200 free in 1:44.44. Ibanez represented Mexico as she competed in the 50,100, and 200 freestyle, the 4x100 medley relay, and the 4x200 freestyle relay at the 15th FINA World Championships in Barcelona.
2011-2012
Redshirted due to injury but recovered in time to compete for Mexico in the Olympics … As a 2012 Olympian, Ibanez competed in the 100m freestyle and 200m freestyle.
2010-2011 (Freshman)
Ibanez had a huge freshman year, scoring 6.5 points at the Big 12 Championship meet and ending the season with two NCAA ‘A’ cut times and five ‘B’ cuts. She had six season best times at the Big 12 meet, with five 2nd place finishes, including the 50 freestyle (22.52) and as part of the 200 free relay, 400 free relay (3:16.51), 800 free relay (7:04.26), and as a leg of the school record breaking 400 medley relay (3:31.04). She also had a 5th place finish in the 200 free (1:44.54) and 7th place finish in the 100 free (49.20). The 200 free relay she was part of had its season best time at the NCAA National Championship, 1:29.35.
High School/Club:
2009 graduate of Colegio Panamericano in Celaya, Mexico...competed with the Orcas Celaya swim club and was coached by Jorge Medina...holds the Mexican National Records in the 50 free (25.70), 100 free (56.04) and the 200 free (2:02.19)...competed in the 2007 Pan-American Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and the 2009 Swimming World Championships in Rome, Italy.
