Made an impact on the team with two NCAA ‘B’ cuts at the SEC Championships. Edwards posted 12 points at the championships with a 15^th place finish in the 200 back (1:57.01) and 1:56.17 in prelims. Also competed in the 100 back finishing as first alternate (54.73) and in the 200 IM (2:02.17). Edwards’ 100 back (54.73) ranks fifth fastest on the team this season and her 200 back (1:56.17) is the team’s fourth fastest time this season.

High School/Club:
2013 graduate of Westlake High School in Austin, Texas … two-year letter winner … three-time Academic All-America honoree … 2009 state champion in 400 free relay … also competed for NITRO Swimming club team for two years and was coached Tim O’Brien … holds club record in 100m back (1:03.54) and 200m back (2:16.39).

Madeline Brooke Edwards is the daughter of Barry and Merridith Edwards of Austin, Texas … born on March 30, 1995 in El Paso, Texas … intends to major in Bio-Medical Science … has been swimming competitively since the age of 8 …says she chose A&M because “When I took my recruiting trip here I felt like it was my home already. All the girls on the team are genuine, motivating, and a blast to be around and I know that this is the only school where I will be able to achieve my academic and swimming goals.”
