Swam career best times in the 50 free and the 100 and 200 back. Hairston made her way into the school record book swimming the 10th all-time fastest 100 back for the team at 54.02 and the 10th all-time fastest 200 back for the team in 1:55.76. Hairston earned NCAA ‘B’ standards for each of her season best times.
2011-2012 (Junior)
Posted a pair of Top-15 finishes at the 2012 Big 12 Championship meet with a 13th place finish in the 100 backstroke (55.79) and a 15th place finish in the 50 free (23.41).
2010-2011 (Sophomore)
Ranked in the top five on the team in the 50 free (23.16) and 100 free (50.53).
High School/Club:
2009 graduate of Plano West Senior High School ... swims for City of Plano Swim Team, coached by Steve Mateer, and her high school coach Kris Jones ... was a junior nationals qualifier, earning best times in both the 100-yard freestyle and the 100-yard backstroke ... four-year letterwinner was a member of the Plano West school record 200-yard free relay team.
