Cooke showed great potential and ability during her freshman season. At the Art Adamson Invitational, Cooke competed in the 50 free (24.84), 200 free (1:56.50), 100 back (55.98), and 200 (2:02.41). Cooke’s 100 back is the seventh fastest on the team this season, while her 200 back is the sixth fastest on the season.
High School/Club:
2013 graduate of The Woodlands High School … four year letter winner… holds school record in 100 back (55.22) … two-time District and Regional gold medalist in 100 back … 2012 State bronze medalist in 100 back …four-time All-State and All-America honoree …three-time Scholastic All-American … also competed for Magnolia Aquatic Club for two years… was coached by Scott McFarland … competed in the Olympic trials in 2012 for the 100 back … bronze medalist at NCSAs in 400 medley relay and 5th place in 100 back.

Margaret Cooke is the daughter of Alan and Michele Cooke of The Woodlands, Texas … born on July 19, 1995 in Quincy, Massachusetts … intends to major in Business Honors and Marketing … has been swimming competitively since the age of 12 ... has an uncle who played football at Penn State … says she chose A&M because “community and fellowship rule while at the same time everyone is committed to growing as individuals.”
