2013-2014 (Senior)
Posted two NCAA ‘B’ cuts at the SEC Championships in the 100 back (54.28) and the 200 back (1:54.01). McClure tallied 27 points at the SEC Championships with a seventh place finish in the C Final of the 100 back and a fifth place overall finish in the 200 back. At the NCAA Championships, McClure competed in the 100 back with a personal best of 54.10 and placed 11th in the 200 back with a personal best of 1:53.36. McClure’s lifetime best in the 200 back ranks as the third fastest time in school history.

2012-2013 (Junior)
Posted 26 points at the SEC Championships… placed seventh in the 200 back with an NCAA ‘B’ time of 1:54.51.  McClure swam a career best 200 back at the NCAA Championship of 1:54.38 which is the fifth fastest time in school history. At the US Open Championships, McClure took 8th place in the C Final of the 200m back and also competed in the 400m freestyle.

2011-2012 (Sophomore/Texas)
Placed eighth in the 200 backstroke (2:00.98), 13th in the 100 back (57.10) and 16th in the 200 free (1:52.85) at the Big 12 Championships.

2010-2011 (Freshman/Texas)
Placed eighth in the 200 backstroke (1:56.97) and seventh in the 200 freestyle consolation final (1:49.68) at the Big 12 Championships for the University of Texas.

High school/club:
A 2010 graduate of Mansfield high school in Mansfield, Texas ... was a four-year letter winner ... also competed for the Mansfield Aquatic Club and was coached by Cody Huckabay.

Melanie McClure is the daughter of John and Sally McClure of Mansfield, Texas ... born June 28, 1992 ... majoring in Kinesiology ... has two siblings: John McClure and Kristi Bennett ... both parents are A&M Former Students.
