2015-16 (Sophomore):
Was the Aggies’ No. 2 entry in both the one- and three-meter dives with season bests of 293.50 on the one-meter board (at the Art Adamson Invitational) and 310.28 on the three-meter (at the TAMU-North Texas dual meet) … was a zone qualifier on both boards … placed 25th in the one-meter and 38th in the three-meter dive at the SEC Championships … best finishes were second-place efforts in the one-meter dive at Adamson and in the three-meter against Kentucky.
2014-15:
Redshirted.
Added greatly to the depth of the Aggie diving squad. For the one-meter springboard competition, Alaniz posted a championship high score at the Art Adamson Invitational with a score of 285.10 for the seventh highest score by an Aggie in the all-time record book. On the dual meet side, Alaniz scored a best score of 292.05 in the one-meter against LSU in Baton Rouge. Alaniz also had a season championship high score with an NCAA Zone Qualifying mark at the Art Adamson Invitational in the three-meter, posting a score of 316.00, which ranks sixth in the all-time record book. At the Air Force Academy Diving Invitational, Alaniz place fourth in the one-meter competition and 12th in the three-meter.

2013 graduate of W.B. Ray High School in Corpus Christi, Texas … four-year letter winner … four-year District and Regional Champion in the one-meter … four-year medalist at State meet including the Championship Title in the one-meter senior year … holds a school record for 11 dives in the one-meter (534.30) … Senior class valedictorian and Wendy’s High School Heisman National Winner in 2012 … National Merit Hispanic Scholar and International Baccalaureate Diploma recipient … also dove competitively for Trey’s Gang Diving Club for seven years and was coached by Trey Collins.
