Erin Boyette, a nationally certified and state licensed athletic trainer, joined the Texas A&M sports medicine staff in July 2012. She is the head athletic trainer for the Aggie volleyball team and also oversees the athletic training intern for women’s tennis.
Born and raised in Baton Rouge, La., Boyette served as an athletic training student for LSU while pursuing a bachelor’s of science degree in kinesiology. She was involved in numerous student organizations and activities relating to her major during her undergraduate years and served two stints as president of Alpha Tau Sigma, LSU’s athletic training organization. She was repeatedly recognized for her hard work, dedication and passion for the field of athletic training and was the recipient of an array of prestigious awards and scholarships.
The honor student graduated cum laude in 2010, and she immediately began pursuit of a master’s of science degree in kinesiology with a concentration in pedagogy and psychological sciences at LSU. She remained on the LSU sports medicine staff as a graduate assistant athletic trainer and was responsible for the prevention, care, evaluation and rehabilitation of injuries for both the Tiger volleyball and football teams.
Boyette, who received her master’s degree from LSU in 2012 and also became a certified performance enhancement specialist through the National Academy of Sport Medicine, is passionate about constantly continuing her education as an athletic trainer and has recently added additional certifications that include movement analysis and joint mobilization techniques, dry needling, and blood flow restriction therapy. She also provides a unique approach to the healthcare of the volleyball student-athletes with her knowledge of the game as she has played, coached and been a certified official in the past.
In June 2014, the former Erin Greenwich married Texas A&M football athletic trainer and LSU graduate Dalis Boyette in St. Thomas.
