Has experience as a starting outside hitter and will once again compete for that spot...Is one of the team’s best and most consistent defensive players and passers, as well as a team leader, and will be needed on the court...Is an all-around player who is confident and effective at connecting her skills from pass to attack, dig to attack, and block to attack...Is very athletic, jumps extremely well and makes high contact with the ball...Makes a good read on the defense and is able to exploit the holes with strategically placed shots...Defensively, is capable of getting to and effectively digging even the hardest driven ball...Also has a great knack for blocking...Understands timing and positioning and makes an aggressive reach with her long arms... Is eager to compete and go head-to-head against the very best players every day.

Collected SEC Defensive Player of the Week (11/25) honors for the first time in her career after averaging 6.62 digs per set at Kentucky and Georgia...Her 35 digs at Georgia (Nov. 24) is the most by an A&M player in the rally scoring era-- including when the 30-point cap was in effect (2001-07) -- and ties for fourth all-time in school history...Appeared in all 31 matches -- starting three -- mainly in the back row...Appeared as the libero for the first time in her career against Arkansas on Oct. 25 and remained in the position for the remainder of the season (13 matches total) as she went on to receive the team’s Best Defensive Player Award...Posted double-figure digs 14 times, including each of the final 11 matches...Capped her career with a match-leading 20-dig performance in a 3-1 loss at No. 1 Texas (Dec. 6) in the NCAA second round, tying for the fourth in school postseason records for digs in a four-set match...Led A&M and ranked 10th in the SEC with 3.52 digs per set in conference matches only...Also led the Aggies and was 13th in the conference with 3.16 digs per set for the full season...Her 18 digs at Kentucky was the most digs by an A&M player in a three-set match in 2013...Named to the Fall SEC Academic Honor Roll.
2012 (JUNIOR)
Played in all 31 matches and appeared in 111 of 115 sets...Drew the first of her 29 career starts in the season opener against Texas State...Was third on the team with 2.33 digs per set for the full season...Took or tied for team-high honors in digs in four matches...Posted double figures in digs in 12 matches, including a career-high 20 digs in a 3-1 victory against Yale...Averaged 4.40 digs, 2.50 kills and 2.85 points per set while hitting .393 in three matches at the Yale Classic to earn all-tournament honors after helping to lead A&M to the tournament title...Posted a career-high nine kills while hitting .571 in three sets against North Dakota in the third match of the season...Had a personal-best 10.0 points and tied her career high with nine kills while hitting at a .533 clip in a three-set victory against Stony Brook in the final match at the Yale Classic...Had a career-high four aces at Alabama, tying for the most aces by an A&M player in a match in 2012...Her four aces at Alabama also tied for second amongst all players in the SEC for most aces in a three-set conference match...Named to the 2012 Fall SEC Academic Honor Roll.
2011 (SOPHOMORE)
Appeared in six matches and eight sets...Played in three sets against Nevada and posted double figures in digs for the first time in her career with 11...Her 11 digs against the Wolf Pack also marked the first time in her career to lead the team in digs.
2010 (FRESHMAN)
Appeared in four matches and five sets during her rookie campaign...Made the first appearance of her career in the third set of the third match of the season, subbing in and helping the Aggies complete a three-set victory over Sam Houston State on Sept. 1...Saw her most action at Baylor on Nov. 6, playing in two of five sets and recording three kills on 10 swings in a 3-2 loss.

A decorated athlete and go-to attacker throughout her four years as a starting outside hitter and middle blocker for Wharton High School and coach Courtney Carter's varsity team...Was an Under Armour All-American honorable mention as a senior...Also earned TGCA All-State honors and was tabbed District MVP 26-3A for the second consecutive year after leading the Tigers to a 28-10 record...Received Wharton County MVP honors all four years, receiving offensive MVP recognition in her final season...Also garnered MVP laurels at the TGCA 1A-2A-3A All-Star Game after leading the East to the 3-2 victory...An all-state honorable mention by the Texas Sports Writers Association as a senior and sophomore, was named to the organization's second team as a junior...Was a three-time selection to the All-Area first team...Named to the academic all-state team as a senior after collecting academic all-district honors as a freshman and sophomore...Also played three years of softball for the Tigers, receiving second-team all-county recognition as a sophomore...Played tennis her senior year, leading her team to a third-place finish at the state tournament...Also advanced to state in doubles after winning? district and placing second at regionals...Played club volleyball for Willowbrook...Coached by Scott Mayhew, qualified for USA Volleyball Girls' Junior National Championships each of the last four years...Led team to an all-time high 10th-place finish in the 16 Open Division in 2007.
PERSONAL
Heather Nicole Reynolds is the daughter of Neil and Kathy Reynolds...Has a younger sister, Holli, who advanced to state in tennis last year like Heather did as a senior in high school...Is from a family of accomplished athletes, her mom and dad played volleyball and baseball, respectively, at Lamar University...In addition, her grandfather was a four-year baseball letterwinner at Rice, and her great grandfather, Carl Reynolds, spent 13 years in Major League Baseball, including stints with the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Cubs...Wears No. 9, the same number her dad wore in college...Began playing club volleyball when she was 13...Chose to pursue volleyball because “I fell in love with the game and couldn’t see myself playing anything else at the collegiate level”...Made official recruiting visits to Houston, Baylor and Rice...Chose to sign with A&M because it is “a very elite university athletically and academically”... Most memorable athletic moment at A&M is being named to the all-tournament team at the Yale Classic...Volunteers with Bryan ISD teaching fourth graders and also has helped Residence Hall Move-In Assistance Day, helping new and returning Aggies move into their dorms...Also has volunteered at the Lincoln Recreation Center...Is a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Aggie ALLY, a support group that provides a safe zone, listening ear, and support for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people...Hobbies include sleeping, watching reality television, playing sand volleyball, playing tennis and walking her dog, Milo, who is “the sweetest, cutest, awesome-est dog there is”...A 2012-13 Champs/Texas A&M Scholar Athlete, is majoring in interdisciplinary studies with an emphasis in teaching, learning and culture...Is on track to graduate in May 2014...Career ambition is to teach middle school for two or three years and then get a master’s in school counseling and become a middle school counselor...Born May 26, 1992, in Wharton, Texas.
