2016 (SOPHOMORE)
Trained with the team but did not appear in a match…Transferred to UTSA following the academic school year.
2015 (FRESHMAN)
Trained with the team but did not compete in a match…Missed most of the preseason two-a-days, first arriving on campus August 23 and appearing in her first practice August 25, three days before Texas A&M’s season opener…Was gone two weeks in September while competing for the Mexico National Team at the Women’s U20 World Championships in Puerto Rico.
PREVIOUS ATHLETIC EXPERIENCE
Was a member of the 2014 and 2015 Mexico U 20 National Teams…Competed for Mexico in the 2014 NORCECA tournament in Guatemala and finished in fourth place…Also finished fourth at the 2015 Pan Am Cup in Dominican Republic…Was a four-year starting middle blocker for coach Claudio Torres at Universidad Panamericana Preparatoria Campus Yaocalli…Was named best middle blocker at private schools nationals and was part of the “Dream Team”…Was a three-time national champion in cheerleading…Also competed in gymnastics, basketball and chess…Most memorable moment of prep athletic career is getting called up to the Mexico National Team and getting to meet all the amazing girls on the team.

Lourdes Montserrat Castro Narvaez is the daughter of Jose Eusebio Antonio Castro D’Franchis and Maria de Lourdes Narvaez Ovando…Has two older brothers, Antonio and Jose Aram…Her father played basektball for the Mexico national team…Began playing volleyball when she was 12 years old…Chose to play volleyball over other sports because it is a “combination of all the sports I have tried: has the strategy of chess, you need the vertical of a cheerleader, the velocity of a basketball player and the elasticitiy of gymnastics, and I simply love to be able to do everything combined (and yes I was in all those sports)…Made official recruiting visits to Florida Atlantic University, Oregon State, Georgia Tech and Creighton, in addition to Texas A&M…Chose to sign with the Aggies because the university suits her needs and she loves the coaches, the team and everything about it…Most memorable moment of Texas A&M athletic career is when the Aggies won the SEC…Is a member of FCA…Was one of 11 Texas A&M volleyball players who went on a mission trip to Haiti in May…Hobbies include reading, knitting, and taking bike rides through campus …Majoring in biomedical sciences, career ambition is to go to medical school and study nuclear medicine…Born December 12, 1996, in Mexico City.

- The Aggie volleyball player I most idolized while growing up: I didn't know the Aggies since I’m from Mexico, but I would say that Kiara McGee and Angela Lowak are some awesome players who should to be idolized.
