Appeared in 15 matches, seeing time at middle blocker and opposite hitter over 45 sets…Posted five or more blocks five times…Recorded a then-career-high nine kills with six blocks against Louisville (9/24)…Followed that performance with a personal-best 13 kills to go with a season-high eight blocks at Clemson (9/29)…Hit .167 and averaged 1.07 kills, 0.96 blocks and 1.60 points per set as the Tar Heels went 14-14 overall and 11-9 in ACC action.
2016 (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN - AT NORTH CAROLINA)
Quickly emerged as one of the premier middle blockers in the ACC…Finished her inaugural campaign with a team-leading 1.38 blocks per set over 22 matches played as the Tar Heels captured the ACC Championship with a 19-1 record and went 29-4 overall to finish No. 11 in the final AVCA Top 25 Poll…In only the third match of her collegiate career, tallied 11 blocks to help lead the Tar Heels to a 3-2 upset at No. 9 Penn State, marking UNC’s first-ever victory over the perennial powerhouse Nittany Lions…Followed up the performance with 16 blocks—including 15 block assists to break a 30-year school record—in a four-set victory at Duke and was named ACC Player of the Week…Had started 19 of the first 21 matches before suffering an injury that forced her to miss the entire month of November…Returned to the court for the Tar Heels’ Sweet 16 match against No. 8 UCLA, coming off the bench to contribute five blocks in the four-set loss…For the season, totaled 101 blocks and 69 kills, hitting .191…Her 1.38 blocks per set ranked third in the ACC, ninth in the UNC all-time season records and second in the UNC freshman-only season records…Was instrumental in UNC’s record-setting 661 block assists for the season, and helped the Tar Heels lead the ACC and rank fourth in the nation in total blocks (373.5) and sixth in the nation with 2.99 blocks per set.

Began playing volleyball when she was 15 years old…From an athletic family, her dad, Stacy Fields, played football at Clemson from 1987-90, serving as team co-captain as a senior…Her mother, Jacqueline Fields, played basketball at Clemson from 1988-91 and then played professionally overseas…Her younger sister, Skylar Fields, was named to the 12-player U.S. Women’s Junior National Team earlier this summer and won a gold medal at the 2018 NORCECA Women’s U20 Continental Championship…Made official recruiting visits to North Carolina, Baylor, Texas A&M, Texas and LSU…Chose to transfer to A&M because of the coaching staff and the atmosphere…Wears No. 4 because that was her number in high school and it has always been her favorite number…Most memorable athletic moments are winning an ACC Championship, breaking a 30-year school record for blocks and being named ACC Player of the Week…Hobbies include swimming, babysitting, online shopping and reading…Participated in numerous student organizations and activities while and UNC, including serving as the Tar Heel volleyball team’s representative on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)…Participated in the Richard A.
