David Suarez

David “Raygan” Suarez joined the Athletics Department in July 2024 and serves as Assistant Athletics Director for Olympic Sports Rehabilitation. He is responsible for comprehensive healthcare and physical therapy provisions across all Olympic sports programs at Texas A&M.
Prior to joining Texas A&M, Raygan completed the Memorial Hermann/ Rockets Sports Medicine Institute - Sports Physical Therapy Residency in 2022 where he assisted with rehab provisions and sports medicine services at Sam Houston State University and a local high-school. Following the Memorial Hermann sports residency, Raygan was the inaugural Memorial Hermann- Division 1 Sports Physical Therapy Fellow at Texas A&M University during the 2022-2023 school year. During the Division 1 Sports Fellowship, Raygan assisted with physical therapy services and worked directly with Texas A&M Football and Olympic sports. Upon completion of the Division 1 Sports Fellowship, Raygan served as a physical therapist at Rice University through Houston Methodist Hospital, where he directed physical therapy services for Rice University Football and Olympic Sports.
Raygan is currently a board-certified physical therapist through the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), the Texas Physical Therapy Association (TPTA), and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Raygan also holds a certification as a Sports Clinical Specialist through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and is a member of the American Academy of Sports Physical Therapy.
Originally from Sulphur, Louisiana, Raygan graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from McNeese State University in 2018 and received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Texas Woman`s University- Houston in 2021. In his free time, he enjoys being involved in combative sports such as Brazilian jiu-jitsu and wrestling and other outdoor hobbies.
