Two-time SEC champion and All-American pole vaulter Heather Abadie joined the Athletics Department full-time staff in the Summer of 2025 as the Aggies' Assistant Coordinator for Name, Image and Likeness (NIL).
Among her duties, Abadie is responsible for providing administrative support to the Assistant Director of NIL in addition to scheduling and developing team workshops, recruiting presentations, and additional meetings on behalf of the NIL unit. She also maintains continual and thorough familiarity with all applicable NCAA, SEC and University rules and regulations.
A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Abadie earned her bachelor's degree in kinesiology from Texas A&M in 2025. She was a four-year letterwinner for Pat Henry's track and field program and is the school's record holder in the pole vault in both indoor and outdoor competitions. Abadie swept the SEC pole vault crowns in 2024, winning both the indoor and outdoor titles, and earned first-team All-America honors in the same season with a sixth-place finish indoors at the NCAA Championships.
In her free time Abadie enjoys reading, painting and hanging out with friends and family.
