Jonathan Wallace currently serves as the Assistant Athletics Director for Name, Image, and Likeness where he is the primary NIL contact for internal and external stakeholders to ensure accordance with applicable university, state, federal, and NCAA guidelines. Wallace works to conceptualize and coordinate programming and resources to monitor all NIL activities, reporting, and data management.
Previously, Wallace was a part of the senior staff as the Executive Director of Administration/Chief of Staff, where he managed the day-to-day operations for the athletics administration office and provided oversight and strategy of all administrative operations for the Director of Athletics and senior leadership team from August of 2022 until April of 2024.
Prior to his role in Administration, Jonathan worked as the Assistant Director for Student-Athlete Engagement for the 2021-22 school year, where he oversaw career development and employer relations, served as the advisor for B.L.U.E.print (Black Leaders who Undertake Excellence) that was recognized as the Black Student Athlete Summit Organization of the year, and an instructor for First Year Experience.
Jonathan has been at Texas A&M University since March 2019, where he served as the scholastic supervisor for freshmen football for two and a half years. In this role, he was responsible for providing academic support, guidance and mentorship to student-athletes while working collaboratively with academic professionals to create a highly effective learning environment with a primary focus on student development.
Jonathan arrived at Texas A&M after spending a year working as an academic coordinator and assisting in the office of compliance at Grambling State University.
A native of Rayville, Louisiana, Jonathan earned his B.S. in Kinesiology in 2016 and M.S. in Sports Administration in 2017, both from Grambling State University. As an undergraduate, Wallace served as the Student Government Association President, making him the first ever Grambling State student-athlete to be elected as student body president. He was a four-year letter winner on the G-Men football team, team captain, and 2nd Team All-SWAC placekicker. Wallace also earned his MBA from LSU-Shreveport in 2021. Jonathan is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and loves spending time with friends and family.
