- Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach (Equestrian, Baseball)
Nicholas Rex is in his first year as a Strength and Conditioning Coach at Texas A&M University, where he serves as the lead strength coach for the Aggie Equestrian program and as an assistant strength coach for the Aggie Baseball team.
Originally from Houston, Nick moved to College Station in 2022 and earned his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Texas A&M in May 2024. He is currently pursuing his master’s degree in sports physiology at Texas A&M, which he began in August 2024.
Before joining the Olympic Sports staff full-time, Nick spent three seasons as a strength and conditioning intern with the Aggie baseball program (2023–2025) and one season with the football team through 2024. During his time as an undergraduate and graduate intern, he gained valuable experience working with a wide range of athletes, coaches, and support staff across multiple sports.
Nick has also worked closely with the Texas A&M Kinesiology Department, where his academic and practical experiences have combined to shape his coaching philosophy focused on movement quality, strength, and performance optimization. His background and mentorship under some of the top coaches and faculty in the field have helped him develop a data-driven, athlete-centered approach to training designed to help each student-athlete perform at their highest level.
Nick is certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and holds a Level 1 Coach Certification through USA Weightlifting.
