Olivia McGann, MS, RD, CSSD, LDN joined the athletic department in the Summer of 2025 and serves as a performance dietitian, working directly with the men's and women's basketball, women's tennis and equestrian teams.
In her role, McGann provides nutrition education/counseling, menu planning and plate coaching, oversees her teams' fueling stations, assesses lab values and provides nutrition supplementation, and assesses diet and eating habits of student-athletes to ensure they are performing at their best.
Before heading to Aggieland she spent two years in a similar role at Georgia Tech, working primarily with men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and women’s swimming and diving, men’s and women’s track and field, and volleyball.
McGann also served as a nutrition fellow at Wake Forest during the 2022-2023 school year where she worked primarily with football, men’s soccer, and women’s soccer. Prior to Wake Forest, she was a nutrition fellow at the University of Tulsa, focusing on the nutritional wealth of the football, men’s tennis, women’s tennis, women’s golf, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, and women’s rowing teams.
McGann graduated from the University of Dayton in 2019 with a bachelor of science in dietetics. While a Flyer, she was a member of the women’s rowing team. She completed her master’s degree and dietetic internship at Benedictine University in 2020.
A Western Springs, Illinois native, McGann is a registered dietitian and a member of the Collegiate Sports Dietitian Association (CPSDA). She is also a certified specialist in sports dietetics (CSSD).
