Steve Geelhoed joined the Athletics Compliance Office in April 2019 as a Compliance Coordinator and was named Director of Compliance in June 2023. In this role, he oversees Bylaws 11 and 17, handles the day-to-day responsibilities for NIL and Bylaw 13, and serves as the liaison for the tennis and golf programs.
Geelhoed came down to Aggieland from Rocky Top, where he worked as a Compliance Assistant at the University of Tennessee.
A native of Royerton, Indiana, he graduated with honors in 2012 from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in both History and Political Science. In 2017, Geelhoed received his Master of Science degree in Sport Management, also from the University of Michigan.
He earned his law degree from Marquette University Law School in 2016 and is a recipient of a Sports Law Certificate from the National Sports Law Institute. He is also a member of the National Association for Athletics Compliance.
