Karin Dowen joined the Athletics Department in the winter of 2022 and serves the Aggies as an Associate Athletic Trainer focusing on Sports Medicine Operations.

Dowen assists in coverage of all 20 of A&M's sports, severs as the coordinator for all on- campus sports medicine clinics, organizes student athlete pre-participation exams and works on special projects for the Sports Medicine department.Â

Bringing over a decade of experience in the field to Texas A&M, her most recent stops include over five years as a full-time athletic trainer at USC and three more prior to that at Temple University. Dowen also spent two seasons as a graduate assistant with the Miami Hurricanes while earning her master's. Her experience also includes a yearlong internship with the University of Richmond Spiders and a volunteer athletic trainer with the Junior USA Indoor Hockey team.

A native of Severna Park, Maryland, Dowen earned her undergraduate degree from Towson University and a master's from the University of Miami.
