Katy Gallaher is Texas A&M’s assistant director of social media under 12th Man Creative, where she generates content and executes social media strategies for men’s basketball, softball, volleyball, tennis, equestrian and swimning & diving teams while overseeing a team of student interns.
A 2023 graduate of Texas A&M University, Gallaher joined the department on a full-time basis in the Winter of 2024. She returned to Aggieland after a five-month stint as a media relations assistant with the State Fair of Texas, where she helped coordinate media coverage, develop and distribute press materials and social media posts, and maintain a media database.
Upon graduation from A&M Gallaher worked one year with Conference USA as a communications assistant, serving as the main day-to-day contact for cross country, tennis, bowling, and indoor and outdoor track & field across all nine of the leagues’ athletic programs and affiliates. She also served as the secondary contact for men’s and women’s basketball.
Gallaher worked two years as a student assistant in the Texas A&M Athletics Communications office while earning her degree, touching many of the Aggies’ programs while acting as the main student communications assistant for A&M’s equestrian, swimming & diving and women’s basketball teams.
She is a native of Frisco and in her spare time enjoys drawing, painting and spending time with family.
