TitleAssociate AD | Facilities & Operations and Capital Projects
Kody Wood joined the Athletics Department full-time in June 2021 following a year as a member of the Facilities and Events Assistant program and currently serves as Assistant Athletics Director for Facilities and Operations. He is responsible for overseeing the department's facility staff.

Prior to his promotion to Assistant AD in the Summer of 2024, Wood served as Assistant Director of Facilities and Operations with focus on Bright Football Complex, Davis Player Development Center, Kyle Field, McFerrin Indoor Football and the Nye Academic Center.

Wood has worked across many of Texas A&M’s athletic facilities during his time in Aggieland. Additionally, Wood also leads a team of thirty-five student assistant staff members and assists with the strategic development of the department’s operations.

Prior to coming to Texas A&M, Wood worked as a graduate assistant in the Athletic Facilities Department at the University of Iowa. During his time in Iowa City, Wood helped operations of both soccer and track facilities and was a key member of the team putting on the 2019 Big Ten Outdoor Track & Field Championships. He also assisted with event operations, outside rental contracts and coordination of facility schedules across Iowa’s athletics portfolio.

A native of Ainsworth, Iowa, Wood earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa in sport and recreation management in 2018 and a master's degree in sport and recreation management in 2020. He currently resides in College Station with his wife Samantha.
