Margo Newman, MS, RDN, LDN joined the Athletics Department in January of 2022 and serves as the Director of Olympic Performance Nutrition. She oversees a team of Olympic Dietitians as well as provides Nutrition support to the Track and Field, Cross Country, and Softball teams.Â

As a dietitian, Newman is responsible for a wide variety of tasks related to the student-athlete experience in Aggieland. She works in many capacities to help her student-athletes reach their nutrition goals and achieve top performances.Â

Newman worked for three years as a dietitian in the clinical setting and worked as a Sports Nutrition Fellow at Texas Christian University prior to joining Texas A&M. While at TCU, Margo worked closely alongside the Big 12 Conference Champion women’s soccer team, men’s & women’s golf teams and equestrian program.

The Beloit, Wisconsin, native earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics in 2016 at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. She was a Division I varsity rower at Wisconsin from 2012 to 2016. In 2019, Margo received her Master of Science degree in Exercise and Nutrition Science from Lipscomb University.

Newman enjoys running and competing in triathlons. She also enjoys hiking, camping, traveling, and spending time with her husband, Wayne, their children and their two dogs.
