Susan Tatum joined the Athletic Compliance Office in March 2004 and serves as an Assistant Athletics Director for Athletic Compliance at Texas A&M.
In that role, she coordinates and oversees the monitoring of academic eligibility and squad lists, recruiting documentation, coaches' travel and expenses, complimentary admissions, team travel, and coordinates student-athlete and staff award nominations. She also assists in educational efforts and the preparation of waivers submitted to the NCAA.
A native of College Station, Tatum graduated from Texas A&M in 1990 with a degree in kinesiology and earned a master's in sport administration from the University of North Carolina in 1993. Before joining the compliance office, she spent 12 years as a teacher and coach in College Station ISD.
Tatum is a member of the National Association for Athletics Compliance (NAAC) and The National Association of Collegiate Women Athletics Administrators (NACWAA). Â She enjoys reading, watching movies, travelling, attending athletic events, advising college student organizations, serving as a youth counselor at A&M United Methodist Church, and spending time with family.
