Due to construction, available spaces on West campus have been reorganized for tailgating.

• Maroon sections facing Olsen Blvd. reserved for 12^th Man donors with parking privileges in Lot E, Lot G or Lot O and are available using the virtual land rush system.
• The remaining maroon sections around Lot O are available for 12^th Man donors parking in Lot O on a first-come first-served basis beginning at 9 a.m. the day before the game.
• Designated student tailgating areas are located along Kimbrough Blvd. and Penberthy. If your student organization is interested in tailgating along Penberthy Road, please contact the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life. If your student organization is interested in tailgating in the area along Kimbrough, email us here.
• Designated open access zones that are available beginning at 9 a.m. the day before the game listed in yellow on the map above. These spaces are open to any visitor, student or fan and do not participate in virtual land rush.

1. Virtual Land Rush will begin at 6 p.m. Sunday evening before the next football game. Virtual Land Rush will end Tuesday at 5 p.m. NOTE: On a home game week, requests must be submitted between 6 p.m. on Sunday and 5 p.m. on Tuesday to be counted as a valid request.
2. NOTE: Virtual land rush for the Texas game will begin on Sunday, November 15 at 6 p.m. and end on Tuesday, November 17 at 5 p.m. Notifications will be emailed regarding application status on Wednesday, November 18. Open access locations and Virtual land rush spots at Reed Arena may be claimed on Wednesday, November 25 at 9 a.m. Virtual land rush spots in Aggie Park may be claimed on Friday, November 27.
3. Visitors may request a free tailgating spot (25’ x 25’) by clicking on the West campus Virtual Land Rush link (posted above, when available).
4. This link will direct you to a submission form…fill out the form and click submit. Requests will be filled based on a first-come, first-served basis.
5. Confirmation emails will be sent out Wednesday with each guests’ section number designating their location. Guests will also be notified if the request cannot be honored because the area has reached capacity.
6. Beginning Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. guests with a copy of their reservation confirmation may check in with the tailgating staff at their assigned zone at Reed Arena. You will be assigned a space within your designated zone. Those persons or groups who would like to combine tailgates or be adjacent to each other must check in at the same time. If there are sufficient spaces available in your assigned zone, our staff will accommodate you. No more than two spaces may be combined. After 5 p.m. on Friday, guests may check in on Saturday morning beginning at 7 a.m. Those without reservations may check in at this tent to see if there are any available open spaces. ID must be provided upon check-in and the ID must match the name on the reservation request.
7. Ambassadors at the check-in tent will direct each guest to their tailgating location.
8. All drop off for Virtual Land Rush will take place on Olsen Boulevard. We recommend guests arrive no later than two hours before kickoff to minimize traffic. You must check in at the tailgating tent and receive your designated location prior to dropping off any material.

Tailgating spaces in this area are secured by “land rush.” unless otherwise designated, site setup may begin no earlier than 9 a.m. on setup day, (the day immediately preceding and NCAA recognized campus sporting event). Claiming tailgate areas prior to 9 a.m. on setup day is prohibited. Any tailgating materials left on site before setup day may be removed without notice. Please contact Aggieland Tailgating at 979-862-7547 to reclaim materials.

1. Tents may be secured by using stakes which penetrate the ground to a maximum depth of 12 inches. If your tent cannot be safely secured using a depth of less than 12 inches, we recommend you contact the manufacturer to recommend alternative forms of ballast or use a combination of smaller tents.
2. Generators are permitted in this area and must be equipped with a noise reducing device like a manufacturer-approved cover or muffler. Special care and consideration should be taken when managing fuel and extension cords affiliated with generators.
3. All sidewalks, drive lanes and fire lanes must be kept clear of all equipment and vehicles. Cords, generators, satellite dishes, etc. must be confined to allotted space and cannot be stretched across drive lanes.
4. Driving or parking private vehicles on any and all greenspaces and sidewalks is prohibited.
5. Trailer mounted grills, smokers or televisions may be placed in the greenspaces provided the towing vehicle does not enter the greenspace. All trailer mounted units, including tow hitches, should be able to fit within the confines of a normal parking space. Units larger than a normal space should be parked in the oversized vehicle lot or Fan Field.
6. Use of university electricity for tailgating is prohibited. Please do not plug into any university outlet or power panel for personal use.
7. Olsen Boulevard will be closed four hours before the start of the game between Kimbrough and Rec Center Drive. It will reopen after kickoff. Many West Campus streets close again during the third quarter until 90 minutes after the game ends or when traffic clears.
8. In case of emergency, call 911. For non-emergencies call University Police at 979-845-2345.

Hours of Operation

On game day, tailgating will begin at 7 a.m. to better coordinate with our scheduled parking lot opening times. All tailgating spaces should be cleared and cleaned no later than midnight on game day. If tailgating areas are unavailable to collect your materials due to road closure or contraflow traffic, we ask that you be ready to move out when the roads reopen.

Time for set up on West Campus begins at 9 a.m. the day before the game. Time for set up in Aggie Park begins at 7 a.m. the day of the game. Tailgating materials set up before 9 a.m. on West Campus or 7 a.m. in Aggie Park will be removed. This includes any materials left on the sidewalks or streets. Overnight camping in either location is not permitted.

Alcoholic Beverages

University Rules permit the use of alcoholic beverages at tailgate parties or picnic activities at NCAA intercollegiate athletic events only on the day of the event and in the general proximity of the event, including outdoor locations or in outdoor parking areas. The use of alcoholic beverages is prohibited on the MSC Lawn, the All Faiths Chapel Grounds, and inside university facilities unless otherwise designated. In accordance with the alcoholic beverage laws of the State of Texas individuals must be at least 21 years old to purchase, possess, or consume alcoholic beverages. The use of alcoholic beverages by members of the Texas A&M University community is at all times subject to the alcoholic beverage laws of the State of Texas.

Most importantly, individuals, groups and organizations holding or participating in tailgate parties are responsible for their own conduct and are expected to respect the rights of others and the entire University community.

Texas A&M students must also adhere to the Texas A&M University Student Rules governing consumption of alcoholic beverages.

Commercial Activity

Any transactions, monetary or otherwise, and solicitations require approval of the University Concessions Committee. Typically, approvals are not given for tailgating areas on game days. Click here for more info.
