Big 12 Basketball Visits ESPN

With the beginning of basketball season only a couple of weeks away, five Big 12 Conference head coaches and several Big 12 staff members are heading to Bristol, Ct. to visit with personnel from ESPN. Meetings and interviews have been set up to promote Big 12 basketball and discuss the upcoming 1999-2000 hoops season.
Making the trip to Bristol are Eddie Sutton of Oklahoma State, Texas' Rick Barnes, Melvin Watkins of Texas A&M, Sherri Coale of Oklahoma and Nebraska's Paul Sanderford. Representing the conference office are Commissioner Kevin L. Weiberg, Associate Commissioner Tim Allen, Director of Basketball Operations Kim Anderson and Assistant Director of Media Relations Chris Theisen. The coaches and league representatives will spend the early afternoon in meetings with ESPN executives before spending time with several entities of the network.
